Children’s Therapy Moonee Ponds

Sun Rose Children’s Therapy proudly offers compassionate and comprehensive children’s therapy in Moonee Ponds for families seeking reliable emotional and developmental support. Our approach is centred on understanding the whole child, recognising their strengths, challenges, and unique way of interacting with the world. With the guidance of an experienced children's registered play therapist in Moonee Ponds, we create space for children to express themselves openly, explore their feelings safely, and develop the skills they need to thrive at home, school, and in the community.

Children often struggle to communicate big emotions or complex experiences verbally, which is why our children’s therapy in Moonee Ponds incorporates child-led, developmentally appropriate methods. Whether your child is navigating anxiety, emotional regulation difficulties, behavioural concerns, low confidence, social challenges or neurodivergent differences (including ADHD and autism), we provide personalised strategies that help them feel supported, understood, and empowered. Families trust our warm and structured therapeutic environment, knowing their children are receiving care backed by expertise and genuine compassion.

Services

Our services extend to assisting children with a wide array of challenges, including trauma, family breakdown, separation anxiety, depression, emotional regulation difficulties, behavioural concerns, language difficulties, low self-esteem and confidence, grief and loss, depression, and selective mutism. Our practice is recognised for its expertise in supporting children with ADHD.

Play Therapy Moonee Ponds

Our specialised play therapy in Moonee Ponds gives children a meaningful and natural way to explore emotions and work through difficult experiences. Play is a powerful communication tool for children, and through guided sessions, they learn to express thoughts, fears, and feelings in a safe, supportive environment. With guidance from a skilled children's registered play therapist in Moonee Ponds, our play-based interventions help children build emotional awareness, resilience, and confidence.

During play therapy in Moonee Ponds, children may participate in imaginative play, art, storytelling, sensory exploration, and symbolic play. These activities encourage children to process emotions, improve communication, and strengthen social connections. Play therapy in Moonee Ponds is highly effective for children experiencing anxiety, frustration, grief, family changes, and behavioural difficulties. It also benefits children who find verbal communication challenging, providing a gentle pathway to emotional understanding and regulation.

Our child therapists tailor each session to your child’s developmental stage, interests, and needs, ensuring that play therapy in Moonee Ponds feels both engaging and therapeutic. Through consistent support, children learn coping strategies they can carry into everyday life.

“We have been seeing Golnaz weekly for 4 years. She has built a wonderful relationship with our son Rocky and our family. We have seen such great progress.

Golnaz has been such an asset to our team helping Rocky build on his skills and communication through play.Play therapy with Golnaz is by far Rocky’s favourite therapy and lights up when Golnaz arrives with her box of games and activities.

It’s been an absolute joy to see our son Rocky blossom and learn through play with Golnaz.”
