Play Therapy in Ascot Vale

Our specialised play therapy in Ascot Vale gives children a gentle, developmentally appropriate way to understand their emotions and experiences. Play is a natural form of communication for children, and through guided therapeutic play, they learn to process feelings, solve problems, and express themselves more confidently. Led by a qualified children's registered play therapist in Ascot Vale, our play therapy sessions create a safe space where children can explore their inner world in a way that feels comfortable and familiar.

During play therapy in Ascot Vale, children may engage in imaginative play, role-play, art, sensory activities, storytelling, and other creative mediums. These experiences support children by helping them:

  • Build emotional regulation and self-awareness

  • Express feelings that may be difficult to verbalise

  • Improve communication and social skills

  • Process stressful and confusing life experiences

  • Strengthen confidence and problem-solving abilities

  • Develop resilience in challenging situations

This therapeutic approach is particularly effective for children who feel overwhelmed, struggle to articulate emotions, or need a safe environment to work through complex feelings.

Golnaz has been such an asset to our team helping Rocky build on his skills and communication through play.Play therapy with Golnaz is by far Rocky’s favourite therapy and lights up when Golnaz arrives with her box of games and activities.
